    Scientific Director (TU Delft)

    Assistant Professor of Designing responsible AI in the Faculty of Industrial Design Engineering at TU Delft. 

    Dr. Colombo’s research explores the societal impacts of AI applications and their effects on individuals and society. She develops knowledge and tools for designers to generate responsible and ethical AI applications and to leverage the potential of data and AI in addressing societal challenges.

  • Dr. Francisca Grommé

    Scientific Director (EUR)

    Assistant professor in Digitalisation in Work and Society at the EUR Department of Public Administration and Sociology (DPAS), and AIPact TopTalent Research fellow.

    As an ‘ethnographer of data and AI’ she follows these technologies across different domains of work to understand how they affect marginalized groups, social justice, governance arrangements and the quality of work.

  • Prof.dr.ir. Alessandro Bozzon

    Advisory board

    Professor of Human-centered Artificial Intelligence, head of the Sustainable Design Engineering department at the Faculty of Industrial Design Engineering TU Delft, and fellow of the Netherlands Academy of Engineering. 

    Prof. Bozzon's research focuses on human-computer interaction, human computation, user modeling, and machine learning.

    Advisory Board

    Professor of Organizational Dynamics in the Digital Society, and steering committee member of the EUR Societal Impact of AI (AiPact) initiative.
    Prof. ter Hoeven's research focuses on constant connectivity, digital labor, algorithmic management, and worker’s well-being.

  • Catalina Lagos

    PhD Candidate

    PhD candidate at TU Delft, researching the impact of technology and AI on societal issues. Her work explores the relationships we form with technology, with a particular focus on how interactions are shaped by design and development. She is interested in combining participatory approaches, such as crowdsourcing, with AI development to create open processes that collectively address social challenges.

  • Ariane Lucchini

    PhD Candidate

    PhD candidate at TU Delft’s Faculty of Design Engineering. In her work she explores the sociotechnical adoption of emerging technologies, aiming to foster more inclusive societies. Her current research focuses on co-envisioning generative AI technology with vulnerable and marginalized communities. She is particularly interested in addressing gaps in healthcare systems by examining power structures, exploring gender dynamics, and employing participatory research methods.

  • Manaar Mohammed

    PhD Candidate

    PhD Candidate at Erasmus University Rotterdam’s school of social and behavioral sciences. Her research interests include science and technology, gender and sexuality, and race and racism. Currently, she is working on research regarding human labor as a necessary component in AI development, particularly that of “microworkers”. She is particularly interested in microworkers on the African continent and how their labor is devalued and erased.

  • Yan Cong

    PhD Candidate

    PhD Candidate at Erasmus University Rotterdam’s school of social and behavioral sciences. She researches the environmental impact of generative AI throughout its global value chain. She also works as a program officer with Green Screen Coalition supporting practitioners, collectives and organizations working at the intersection of climate justice and digital rights.

    Irene van Oorschot is an assistant professor in the Public Issues and Imaginaries Team of the School for Social and Behavioral research at the Erasmus University Rotterdam. Drawing on science and technology studies, feminist philosophy, and decolonial scholarship, she explores how climate crisis reshapes human-nonhuman relationships.
